These awards, along with their quality seal, help open doors to new retailers.”

This year, records were broken again with the participation of cheeses from an even greater number of countries in the world’s largest event dedicated exclusively to cheese. The entries arrived at the venue by ship, truck, train, and plane, as well as through one of the 13 consolidation points spread around the world in countries such as Brazil, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, and South Africa. 260 judges from 30 countries tasted, sniffed, and rated cheeses from five continents to award the Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Super Gold prizes to the worthy concoctions.

From the 3,804 entries, 16 were finally selected, and viewers had the opportunity to watch the best palates in the global cheese community deliberate on the world’s best. The international Supreme Jury, comprised of cheese artisans and merchants, buyers, chefs, retailers, and writers, presented their favorite cheeses live on World Cheese TV before crowning this year’s World Champion Cheese.
